Canberra’s annual Fashfest event is the biggest fashion experience in the Australian capital and this year was staged at the National Convention Centre. It focuses on highlighting the very best and most innovative local design style and talent, and also for the first time, the four day extravaganza opened up to include interstate and international participants.
The 2015 event’s Technical Director of Sound & Lighting was Darren Russell, who is also the MD of the equipment provider Elite Sound & Lighting, a company that has been a major Robe investor in recent years. Darren oversaw the installation and running of all the required technical elements including lighting, sound and video.
Elite provided lighting for the main showspace runway, plus various associated event environments, after-parties and press receptions.
Lighting above the showspace catwalk included 16 x Robe BMFL Spots – Elite was an early adopter of this game-changing Robe fixture in Australia. The BMFL Spot’s excellent tungsten emulation features were used to enhance skin tones for many of the Fashfest collection’s models strutting the catwalk for the amassed media.
The BMFLs continues to amaze us every time we use them on a show,” commented Darren, “In our opinion … they are simple the BEST moving head spot on the market today!”
