Industry professionals recently had the chance to get up close and personal with Robe Lighting products at Port Lighting Systems’ Lighting Trade Show & Industry Networking Event in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
The free event took place March 4 at the company’s warehouse.
Robe’s Eastern Region Business Development Manager Kevin Loretto displayed the ROBIN range of products including the 100 LEDBeam, the 600 LEDWash, the DLS Profile and the CycFX 8.
“It was a good crowd, we drew lots of interest, and it went well,” Kevin said.
This year’s event was “fantastic!” said Port Lighting’s Bob Harriman. “We packed the place the whole night from start to finish. I’ve received tons of emails about how professional it was.”
Port Lighting Systems started the trade show 10 years ago. They started small - every two years - by inviting a few companies to show their products. It’s now grown to having 30 manufacturers participating this year! “We get a huge turnout every time,” he said, citing an attendance of 300 this year. “If we keep it up, next time we’ll have to take this to a convention center!”
Luckily, the weather cooperated. “The snowstorm that was predicted to bring us at least six inches of snow went by the wayside. It was cold but a nice sunny day.”
Port Lighting Systems focuses on entertainment, corporate and architectural lighting - sales, service and design - as well as rentals, repairs and installations. Robe products are prominent in their inventory, including the DLS Profile, Bob said. “We use the DLS all the time for our productions and for our rental gear.”
Port Lighting Systems has also added an extra 10,000 square feet on to their warehouse, which now encompasses 25,000 square feet.
“I just started my 25th year with the company,” Harriman says. “Owner Todd Gerrish and I go way back. He started the company in May 1985 and we now have 25 full-time employees …. And are still growing.”
